a fun spin on a classic Twix bar - made with toasted coconut! paleo, vegan, and super easy.
Ingredients
Base
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- 3 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanillapinch of sea salt
Caramel
- 1 cup coconut flakes, toasted
- 1/2 cup peanut or almond butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Chocolate
- 1 cup chocolate chips of choice
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F.Combine the base ingredients and press into the bottom of a lined loaf pan.Bake for 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden. Remove from the oven & let cool. Combine all of the caramel ingredients until smooth. Fold in the toasted coconut. Spread over the cooled base.Place in the freezer for a couple of minutes to firm up a bit.Melt the chocolate & coconut oil until smooth.Pour evenly over the caramel layer. Freeze until completely set.Cut into bars & enjoy!
