Raw Beauty Balls

I have been so lucky in my life, to not have had to deal with any sort of problematic skin conditions, besides dealing with dry skin. However, my hair on the other hand, is a whole other story. My hair grew like weeds growing up, but as I got older it seemed to come to a hault. Sure, I bleached it and used hot tools on it which obviously is a no-no, but even before that, I was struggling. Same goes for my nails as well - always brittle and weak.

When I received my nutrition certification, I was obviously ecstatic about being able to help others going through specific health conditions, but I was also very excited about being able to use this new-found knowledge, backed by scientific research, to start trying to heal certain health conditions of my own; my hair, skin, and nail health!

I started consciously incorporating more of what I like to call “skin foods” into my diet. After a few months, I started noticing a different. My nails were stronger and could actually grow, but skin was clear (still a little dry, but hey, beggers can’t be choosers), and my hair was starting to grow.

I made these BEAUTY BALLS as an easy way to get in all of those skin loving foods in one tasty bite! They are packed full of:

  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids

  • Vitamin E

  • Vitamin C

  • B Vitamin Complex

Now that all of that is out of the way, lets get to the treats! These little no bake balls are super fast and easy and only require one bowl. You can feel free to mix and match ingredients, to suit your personal preference, or with what you have on hand, but I did formulate these purposely to be full of these specific ingredients!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup maple syrup (Can sub honey)

1/4 cup Nut Milk

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup chopped freeze dried strawberries

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/4 cup peanut butter

2 tbsp almond or sunflower seed butter

1 tbsp Botanika Blends Beauty Blend Powder (Optional)

How to:

  1. Place the coconut oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the nut butters, nut milk, and maple syrup. Stir frequently, bringing it to a boil.

  2. Once the mixture thickens, remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.

  3. Roll into tablespoon-sized balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. After rolling the dough into balls, I rolled them gently in some more of the beauty blend powder (just for looks!). If you don’t have this, you could roll yours in super finely crushed freeze dried strawberries!

  4. Place in the freezer or fridge to harden a bit.

  5. Enjoy!
