Base
- 3/4 cup almond meal or flour
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla - optional
- 1-2 tbsp milk, as needed
Center
- 1/2 cup peanut butter - can sub any nut butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- pinch of sea salt
Chocolate Topping
- 1 1/3 cups chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil - if needed to thin
Instructions
- Combine all the base ingredients, besides the milk, in a large bowl until a sticky dough forms. If your dough is too dry, add 1 tbsp of milk at a time until it holds together. Just don't let it get too wet!
- Press into the bottom of a lined loaf pan.
- Mix together the filling ingredients until smooth and spread evenly over the base. Place in the freezer for 15, or until mostly hardened.
- Melt the chocolate, adding the coconut oil to thin it out a bit if needed, and spread evenly over the filling layer.
- Place back in the freezer until completely hardened. Then cut into bars and enjoy!
