These bars don't require a food processor, come together super quickly, and are dangerous.. but in THE BEST way!

Ingredients

Base
  • 3/4 cup almond meal or flour
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla - optional
  • 1-2 tbsp milk, as needed
Center
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter - can sub any nut butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of sea salt
Chocolate Topping
  • 1 1/3 cups chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil - if needed to thin

Instructions

  1. Combine all the base ingredients, besides the milk, in a large bowl until a sticky dough forms. If your dough is too dry, add 1 tbsp of milk at a time until it holds together. Just don't let it get too wet!
  2. Press into the bottom of a lined loaf pan.
  3. Mix together the filling ingredients until smooth and spread evenly over the base. Place in the freezer for 15, or until mostly hardened.
  4. Melt the chocolate, adding the coconut oil to thin it out a bit if needed, and spread evenly over the filling layer.
  5. Place back in the freezer until completely hardened. Then cut into bars and enjoy!
